As a landlocked country that borders only two countries (China & India), Nepal has managed to retain it's own culture, heritage & traditions. Known most famously for being a launching pad to conquer Mt. Everest, there are loads of lesser known mountains to summit everywhere you look.
The people are friendly, English is widely spoken, and aside from (rather) expensive big trekking trips Nepal is quite a cheap travel destination. Accommodation and food are reasonable and tasty and the capital city of Kathmandu offers a wide variety of activities to entertain visitors. And a fun fact: Nepal has the only five sided flag in the world.
