about these photos:
I visited the province of Palawan in July 2015 and it was hands down the highlight of my visit to the Philippines. I based myself at a small guesthouse in El Nido and ventured around on a rented moped and via tuk tuk. Getting here takes some effort due to its remote location, but it's well worth the flights and long bus rides. It's truly a place like no other.
The snorkeling here was phenomenal as the clarity of the water was impeccable. On day tours I was treated to spectacular views of karst rock formations literally rising out of the sea, visiting tiny coves and remote beaches. The landscapes were equally dramatic as evidenced in my photos of mountains seemingly rising from the sea and the seafood was beyond fresh. And if you ever find yourself in this part of the world be sure to put Nacpan Beach on your itinerary.
