I visited Kenya for nine days in October of 2015 for the third time. Entering the country my fingers were crossed I'd have a hassle free visa experience, as the rules had changed regarding visas on arrival. Luckily all went to plan & I secured an East African visa for $100 USD, good for travel to Kenya, Uganda & Rwanda.

As I was now six months into my year long trip I was ready to hand over the reins to my safari company and let them do all the work (sorting out accommodation, meals, etc.). I signed up back in April before leaving the States for the "Absolute Safari" and booked with Absolute Africa for my seventy four day, ten country epic safari. I can't recommend them enough, they were amazing from start to finish.

In my time in Kenya we packed in a lot in a relatively short amount of time. After meeting my safari mates we were immediately off to a giraffe sanctuary & elephant orphanage. We also visited the world renowned Masai Mara NP for our first real taste of African wildlife. Also on the itinerary as optional activities were a bicycle safari in Hell's Gate NP, more safaris in Nakuru NP, a boating safari in Lake Naivasha and a chance to give back at an orphanage.
