about these photos:

I visited Nepal for nine days in September 2015 for the first time. My time actually spent in Nepal was unfortunately cut short due to issues with my RTW ticket, but I made the most of my short time there. I started off in the capital city of Kathmandu booking my trekking adventure within four hours of arriving.

I set off on a a trek the very next morning to the Annapurna region. While I didn't see Mt. Everest I did get to see some huge snow covered Himalayan mountains. In total I trekked twenty four hours in just four days, with two travel days book ending the six day trip. The hiking was tough (heat, altitude, conditions, etc.) but rewarding at the same time.

Upon my return to Kathmandu I was treated to a truly unique experience. On September 20, 2015 the country adopted a new constitution after nearly a decade going without. The celebrations in the street were something I will never forget, seeing the pride on the faces of the Nepalese people.
